Auctions and Resale Fundraising
To sustain our rescue work, we acquire residential properties and collect quality items for resale through online auctions and community sales. Collectibles, household goods, books, and unique finds are listed regularly, with all proceeds supporting veterinary care, food, shelter, and rescue operations. This innovative model turns everyday items into life-saving resources, empowering neighbors to declutter, donate, and bid while directly funding the medical treatment and day-to-day care our dogs deserve.
Community Outreach and Education
We partner with local schools, libraries, and civic groups to promote responsible pet ownership and the importance of spay/neuter. Through volunteer opportunities, workshops, and adoption events, neighbors of all ages learn how to help dogs in need. From fostering to transport support, we equip our community with practical tools to make a difference, reducing shelter intake and building a reliable network of advocates for animals across Colchester and surrounding towns.
Dog Rescue and Adoption
We save dogs from neglect, abandonment, and other at-risk situations, giving each a fresh start. Every dog is vaccinated, spayed or neutered, microchipped when appropriate, and evaluated for health and temperament. Our volunteers focus on rehabilitation and socialization so dogs are ready for loving homes. We carefully screen applications and conduct home checks to match each dog with the right family, creating safe, lasting placements for pets and people.
Property Acquisition for Long-Term Rescue Sustainability
A distinctive aspect of Kodi’s Korner’s operations is acquiring residential properties specifically for fundraising purposes. These properties provide sources for items that can be resold to fund rescue operations. In the long term, this approach supports the organization’s goal of expanding shelter capacity and creating sustainable rescue resources for the community’s at-risk animals.
